Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
BetaSteez operates this marketplace. For NDPR purposes we are the data controller for booking, account, and support data. Contact: giftdavid855@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Name, email, phone, booking details, and for home visits your address. Pros also share business profile, payout bank details (resolved via Paystack), portfolio photos, and optional calendar connection. We collect push-subscription keys if you enable notifications, and technical error reports.
3. Lawful basis
We process data to perform your booking contract, to take payment, to prevent fraud, and (with consent) to send reminders and marketing. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
4. Who we share with
We share data with processors who help us run the marketplace: payment (Paystack), hosting and login, transactional email, maps/location lookup, and — only if you turn them on — calendar sync and push notifications. We do not sell your data.
5. Retention
Booking and payment records are kept as long as needed for disputes, tax, and payouts (typically at least 6 years). Profile and favorites stay until you delete your account. Push tokens are removed when you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
Under NDPR you may access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to processing. Email us or use Delete my data from your appointments settings (signed-in). Complaints can also go to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
7. Cookies and push
We use essential cookies for login. If you install the web app or allow notifications, we store a device push endpoint. You can revoke this in the browser.
8. Payments
Card details are handled by Paystack. We store payment references and amounts, not full card numbers.
