Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
BetaSteez is operated by BETASTEEZ TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (RC 9842439), a private limited company registered in Nigeria. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we are the data controller for booking, account, and support data. Contact: support@betasteez.com.
2. What we collect
Name, email, phone, booking details, and for home visits your address. Pros also share business profile, payout bank details (resolved via Paystack), portfolio photos, an ID photo and a selfie for the ID check, and optional calendar connection. You can add an emergency contact for home visits. During a home visit the pro can share live location with the client. We collect push-subscription keys if you enable notifications, and technical error reports.
3. Lawful basis
We process data to perform your booking contract, to take payment, to prevent fraud, to keep clients and pros safe, and (with consent) to send reminders and marketing. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
4. Who we share with
We share data with processors who help us run the marketplace: payment (Paystack), hosting and login, transactional email, maps/location lookup, and — only if you turn them on — calendar sync and push notifications. We do not sell your data.
5. How we protect it
NINs and emergency phone numbers are encrypted. ID and dispute photos sit in private storage that only our admins can open, through links that expire after 5 minutes. Pro phone numbers and emails are hidden from the public until you have a paid booking.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights
Under the NDPA you may access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to processing. We answer every request within 7 days.
- Download your data: clients use Download my data in appointments settings (we email a code first).
- Delete your account: clients use Delete my data in appointments settings, which is immediate. Pros use Request account deletion in the dashboard; we finish within 7 days.
- Anything else: email support@betasteez.com.
Complaints can also go to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. If something goes wrong
If we find a personal data breach that puts your rights at risk, we will report it to the NDPC within 72 hours of finding it and tell affected users without delay, with what happened, what data was involved, and what to do next.
9. Cookies and push
We use essential cookies for login. If you install the web app or allow notifications, we store a device push endpoint. You can revoke this in the browser. A short cookie notice appears until dismissed; we do not use advertising cookies.
10. Payments
Card details are handled by Paystack. We store payment references and amounts, not full card numbers.
