Terms of Service

1. Accounts

You must be 18 or have a parent or guardian’s permission to book or pay. Give a true name, working phone, and email. You are responsible for your login and activity on the account.

2. Payments and prices

Checkout is Paystack. You authorize charges shown at pay: typically a service deposit (the specialist sets the %, often about 20% with a ₦2,000 minimum) plus the BetaSteez booking fee. The rest of the service is due when the job is done. We do not take a silent 50% or 100% of the leftover menu price for late cancel or no-show — see visit policies.

Menu “from ₦” prices on category pages are guides. The specialist’s live menu is the price you book. They may quote more for length, texture, or extra product after a consult — before they start, not after.

Paystack’s own processing fees may not be refundable. Refunds, when due, go through Paystack (often 3–10 business days).

3. Visit rules

By holding a slot you agree to the visit policies: 24-hour notice to keep a deposit refundable; late cancel and no-show forfeit the deposit (and the booking fee on a no-show); about 15 minutes’ grace is the specialist’s house rule. File a service dispute from Appointments within 48 hours of the visit time.

4. Health, safety, and refusal

Tell your specialist about allergies, skin conditions, pregnancy, or other medical facts before colour, relaxers, peels, or massage. They may refuse work that is unsafe, or refuse anyone who is abusive. Home visits need a reasonably safe, clean space and power when tools require it.

5. Specialists

Listing partners keep their own hours, menus, products, and hygiene standards. BetaSteez is not the employer of every specialist. We are not liable for the outcome of a treatment if you withheld a material health fact, or for indirect losses from using the site. Platform take and payout timing are described at specialist onboarding and in Help (clients pay BetaSteez; payouts go out after completed, paid work).

6. Intellectual property

BetaSteez branding, product copy, and software are ours. Specialist photos and bios remain theirs. Do not scrape or republish menus or images without permission.

7. Referrals and gifts

Referral codes give a ₦300 discount on a first qualifying booking when the code validates at checkout. We do not currently sell platform gift cards or 15% launch vouchers. Any future promo will be shown in the app — do not trust a flyer code that is not in checkout.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including Lagos State where applicable.
